Just round the corner

Tramgirl has been getting ready for Christmas since July.
She’s been painting, baking, dress making, singing. You name it, she been at it.

Not for herself, for others.

When I asked her the other day what she wanted for Christmas.
She took in a deep breath, flared her nostrils, stared at the floor and took in two more long breaths.

‘How many times do I need to tell you, I don’t want anything.’

Alright I thought, no need to be so righteous about it.

I went and put the kettle on.

That night as I was hopping into bed I found a note under my pillow.

It read.

Christmas is a time of surprises.
Please stop asking me what I want and just buy me something.

Thanks x

Here she is....

There is nothing better than drizzling rain. Nothing. Tramgirl tells me.
Is that so? I ask.
Yep! Mild temperature, soft rain and Shirley Valentine, what more do you need? She replies as she cuddles her cushion and flashes me a grand smile.

I left the room to leave Tramgirl staring out the window smiling in the bliss of relaxation.

From time to time I could hear her giggle, she’d giggle one of those yummy laughs that has your body tingle with delight. Deep within you know she’s living the life that she loves.

As I sat in front of my computer working away I heard Tramgirl laughing, harder and harder, so of course I had to go and see what was sooooo funny.

I stood and watched.

Tramgirl was laughing at two sparrows sitting on her fence.
What was so funny about the sparrows, I have no-idea.

And when I asked she said….
They’re so funny!

Why!
They just are………!!!

Ha ha ha ho ho ho he he he
