pact

My computer wouldn’t power up today, it was giving me nothing, absolutely nothing. Tramgirl thought it was hysterical.
I didn’t.
None of my writing was backed up.
I made a pact with god. I’ll go to the library and write for 3 hours and then when I come home my computer will turn on, Ok?
Thanks.
So I packed my bag, left the house and went and wrote, I wrote like I’ve never written before. When I found myself staring out the library window, I kept writing, even when I thought what I was writing was terrible, I kept writing. I wrote even in the face of the woman sitting opposite me sniffing her NOSE. I wrote even when my tummy got hungry. I wrote. I wrote past the time I said I would finish. I wrote. I wrote when the man watching something on his computer cracked up laughing, I wrote. I wrote when a woman sat really close to me. I wrote. I wrote. I wrote and I wrote until something amazing happened. I couldn’t stop writing. Even when the lady opposite hooked into her oreos like an animal and devoured the entire packet in front of me. I wrote.

I came home and pressed the button on my computer. Nothing. Again…. NOTHING, one last time…..
The sound of my apple powering up.
God THANKYOU. Whatever you are!!!
Everything is now backed up on my external hard drive.
Tramgirl tells me she is god. Who and whatever you are. THANKYOU!
